BioAgilytix’s scientists utilize the Cobas e 411 analyzer for immunological analysis of serum or plasma. The platform can support the entire menu of 100+ Elecsys® assays, including those for:

In addition, we support the FDA Emergency Authorized Use (EUA)-approved Elecsys Anti-SARS-CoV-2 immunoassay for the qualitative detection of antibodies to SARS-CoV-2. BioAgilytix utilizes the Cobas c 311 analyzer to support testing from a broad menu of clinical chemistry applications and IVD support.
The Cobas e 411 analyzer’s fully automated intelligent sample workflow supports high throughout, with the ability to run up to 18 assays at a rate of up to 86 tests per hour, or up to 300-450 tests per hour for the c 311 analyzer. Both systems feature STAT sample positions to allow for immediate emergency testing when needed.
How the Roche Cobas analyzer works
The Roche e 411 Cobas analyzer employs ECL technology to detect extremely low levels of antigen, yielding high sensitivity and the ability to detect subtle changes in antigen levels. The Roche c 311 Cobas analyzer performs photometric assays and ion-selective electrode measurements. Innovative tests can therefore be run using lower sample volume, and reagents are protected from external influences to enhance their durability and stability.
The Cobas also provides a wide measuring range which reduces the need to dilute and repeat samples while minimizing the number of tests that need to be rerun due to out-of-range results.
